Did you know that back in the day, a group of us Canadians decided we would try to plan a blogging conference North of the border? We created a planning team, took steps towards incorporating, recruited our key note speaker, and checked out a bunch of venues in Toronto.
So what happened to that whole Canadian blogging conference idea? Well it didn’t fully come to fruition – mostly because life circumstances changed for our planning team. But in the midst of that whole experiment I did learn a valuable lesson — it’s no small feat planning a blogging conference!!! Anybody who has ever planned a similar event can tell you that they get expensive really quickly, that’s why sponsors for events such as Fitbloggin’ are super important.
And so to thank the generous Fitbloggin’ ’13 sponsors for their support, I’ve decided to do a swag post! Besides, who doesn’t like to know what kind of swag is given at Fitbloggin’? I know that when I was preparing to attend this year’s conference I constantly googled “Fitbloggin’ swag!” Sad but true!
So for those of you that ended up here using similar Google terms here goes . . .
As you can see the sponsors were mega generous, and those of us that attended Fibloggin’ benefited in a major way!!!!
After being back for over a week I can say that I’ve broken into most of the loot and have loved pretty much everything!! Take the Blue Diamond products for instance, the Nut-Thins were gone in a blink of an eye because they were truly crackalicious! And the individual packs of almonds have made for some great workplace snacks! Then there’s the Lenny & Larry’s – loved that stuff!!!! And the Reebok products (the gym bag, the Nanos, and the turquoise coloured tank) have quickly become some of my favourite workout gear!!!!
So here’s my plug for the sponsors, please check them out on the Fitbloggin’ ’13 sponsors page, and consider using their products next time you’re on the hunt for health and wellness items!
Question: What are you looking forward to this week? I have to confess, I’m rather psyched for plans I have this weekend! On Saturday we’re meeting up with a friend and her family for a picnic on the (dog friendly) beach. And on Sunday I’m meeting up with a local blogger who also happens to be from Toronto!! Fun!!!
